Pierre Turpin
Pierre Joseph François Turpin (1775-1840) is considered by many to have been one of the greatest botanical artists of his age. He was a prolific artist who contributed to many important publications, including two special copies of 'Leçon de Flore' by Poiret for European monarchs. His drawings are exquisitely fine in detail. The original pictures in the Lindley Library are painted on vellum.
